nope! i have done photoshoots for families, maternity sessions, newborn, engagement shoots, weddings, interiors and even a birth. my passion is taking pictures that capture a moment with deep emotion, you can take a peek at my human photography portfolio, just message me to request access.

ABSOLUTELY! as an owner of a reactive dog myself, i completely understand the challenges and worries about visiting new locations. when we have our planning chat, we can discuss location options that make sense for you and your dog. from quiet trails to fully private sniffspots, there are plenty of options to keep everyone safe and happy.

i do require a non-refundable retainer of 25% to secure the date. the remainder of your payment is due 2 weeks before our scheduled shoot.

things happen! if something comes up, please get in touch right away. sometimes i’ll reschedule photoshoots due to weather if you agree (i’m always happy to photograph in most weather conditions as long as there is no safety risk).

please aim to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice of any schedule changes to avoid any fees

my standard delivery time is 8-10 weeks after our photoshoot, but this may vary depending on the number of photos being delivered and the time of year. please reach out to discuss the current delivery time when you are ready to book.

for the standard package: 25 km from parliament hill. if you are located outside of this radius, there may be a travel fee added to your total cost. we will discuss during the initial consultation.

for special occasions/weddings: travel fees may occur depending on your location, we will discuss this during the consultation. the 25 km radius does not apply to all special occasion packages.

i want everyone to have the same great experience! i found that offering a smaller package made the session feel more rushed. this one package allows anyone to book, get a few photos, and add more later if you decide to.

i often have seasonal mini shoots that are perfect for smaller budgets, please keep an eye on my instagram for the next one.

let’s chat! i do some special occasion shoots each year and those are priced differently than the standard package, depending on your needs.

types of special occasions i have photographed:

  • weddings
  • newborn indoors
  • birthdays
  • engagement shoots

i want to make your photography dreams a reality! we can set up a time to talk about your vision and i’ll create a custom package just for you.

the sooner, the better! especially if you have a specific date you need a photographer or if you need to receive the pictures before a certain date. please dm me on instagram to discuss your date requirements and we can work on scheduling together.

we can discuss this during the consultation, but generally, i suggest something you feel comfortable, confident and yourself in. rich colours work well most times of year, pastels are beautiful during the summer, warm tones in autumn. consider which colours look best on your skin tone as well. all things we can discuss when planning your photoshoot.

typically i recommend not to have either props or outfit changes but i’m always open to discuss.

there may be extra fees for photoshoots that involve props or outfit changes depending on what is required. we’ll chat during the consultation and see how we can make your vision come to life.

a consultation is optional, before booking anything we can chat about what you are looking for and make sure we’re a good fit. we can discuss the package, your occasion, any limitations or concerns you may have, or whatever else you need to chat about to make a decision on your photographer. it’s important that the photographer you choose to capture your special moments is the right fit for you.

the planning call takes place after you have decided to book and paid your retainer. we will discuss your vision, my plans, the location, outfit, and more. some photoshoots (like weddings) involve multiple planning calls or in-person meetings. we’ll sort that all out together!

photoshoots are harder than you think for our pets! dogs who have tons of training and obedience can even struggle during photoshoots. it’s often a new location, new people and VERY boring for them in an exciting environment. here are a few tips to keep your dog happy and engaged during a session. when you book your photoshoot, you’ll also receive a pet posing guide with additional helpful information.

  • bring rewards your dog loves. treats and a toy are usually best. reward your dog after every shot. sometimes i get really focused on ensuring i get the shot right, but please feel free to jump in and reward frequently while i’m shooting. just give me a quick heads up to pause.
  • be your dog’s hypeperson. whenever they’re doing something well, make sure they know it. when we’re walking between shooting locations, play with your dog, talk, engage, whatever! i’m a dog person, i’ll fully help hype them too and use all the weird voices
  • know your dogs limits. if your dog doesn’t usually hold a stay for long, let me know. we’ll release them quickly after each pose so they don’t have to break their stay before we release them. if your dog is nervous of certain objects or doesn’t like a certain pose, let me know so we can avoid that
  • on that note, set them up for success. we don’t want to ask too much or do something that they might fail. we want them to have fun and enjoy the session. if your dog looks like it’s losing focus, call a pause for me, release your dog and play with them. let them sniff the area or have a reward.
  • let them run towards me sometimes, if it’s safe to do so. dogs get really excited when i crouch or lay down. you can hold their leash for the whole session, but if your dog will run towards me (with or without the leash attached), we can try to get an action shot and let them fulfill that desire. plus it helps them start wanting to look at me more during following poses. just let me know if this is something you’re comfortable with and we’ll incorporate it
